Restoration Seminars We believe that collectors' understanding of comic book restoration is crucial to building and maintaining a safe and healthy hobby. To provide further education in the marketplace, Matt Nelson has teamed up with Richard Evans of Bedrock City to conduct an ongoing series of seminars at several comic shows throughout the year. In 2008 a seminar on restoraton detection was presented at the LA Wizard World show, and another at the Chicago Wizard World show over the summer. Another is slated for the Baltimore Comic-Con in September, which will cover restoration candidacy and CGC's grading standards for restored books. Handouts are provided at each seminar, which contain summaries of the information discussed, and examples are often on hand for examination. Future topics throughout 2009 will cover a broad spectrum, with plans to eventually present the seminars to clients in a series of videos. Look for future announcements as dates are set for each seminar.
