Services
|
Pressing |
Our most popular service, pressing is used to
remove light defects from high grade books, such as
dents, bends, folds, light creases and spine rolls,
to achieve the highest possible grade from CGC. The
results will stun you! Pressing fees starts as low
as $12. |
|
|
Conservation |
Another low-cost service, conservation best
suits lower to mid grade comics in the GD to VF range. Its main goals are to rid a
comic book of harmful agents like tape, glue, stains
and mold, and to improve the book’s appearance and
desirability through light restorative techniques
such as cleaning and rice paper repairs. |
|
|
Restoration |
The full job, so to speak! Restoration will
maximize the grade of your comic using our unique
process of piece replacement, grafting, and color
matching. Because of the many hours typically
involved, this service can be expensive. Only the
most valuable issues with the “right” defects are
good candidates. |
|
|
Proscreen |
Our proscreens tell you everything you need to
know about your comic books; it includes a
restoration check, and provides an estimated grade
of what your book could achieve with our services.
Our expert eye is available to you for only $3 per
book. |
|
|
exPress |
The newest of our services, exPress provides a
guaranteed 2-week turnaround time for any book
utilizing our pressing service. |
|
|
On-site screening |
Have your books checked in person at the many
comic shows we attend each year! Our on-site
proscreening not only saves you time and shipping
costs, but our one-on-one sessions can improve your
eye as a collector. |
|
|
Removal |
Sometimes unnecessary restoration is found on
high grade comics, such as a spot of color touch or
glue. Because this typically hurts the value of a
high grade comic, removal can be an indispensable
service for the right candidates. |
|
|
We come to you |
If you have a large collection of books in need
of our services, we’ll come to you for on-the-spot
proscreening. No collection is too large. How handy
is that? |
|
|
Re-creation |
This service is strictly for coverless comics,
particularly the key issues like Amazing Fantasy
#15, Fantastic Four #1, Superman #1, and Marvel
Comics #1. Exact replicas of the missing covers are
cut to fit and attached to your coverless comic. |
|
|
Seminars |
Conducted at select shows each year, our
seminars cover a wide range of topics, such as
restoration detection, grading, and the trends in
the marketplace. Always interesting, and full of
information you won’t get anywhere else. |
|
|
Database |
Our state-of-the-art computer system allows you
to enter your own submissions and track the progress
of your books while they are in our possession. You
receive email updates every step of the way, and
your work orders and invoices are archived for
reference anytime you need them. |
